Like any love (or virus), it’s contagious. Now there are many who have the bug. All of our designers, writers, photographers and editors are doing this out of pure passion. A passion for writing, a passion for photography and a pure passion for wanting a publication like this in Davis. Our stories will focus on you: the farmers, the families, the children, the entrepreneurs, the teachers, the business owners, the UC Davis students and faculty, the animals and the artists. We’ll also have regular features that will be filled by different Davisites each month; random phone book interviews where the subjects are chosen by literally closing my eyes, flipping the pages and pointing, restaurant reviews/features, and “Puparazzi,” Davis dogs photographed around town with their owners. Next month we’ll be adding more regular features including home design, a “behind the scenes” story of a local business and groups in Davis. We have so many groups to choose from and they represent mini communities within Davis. Will it be a biking group, a supper club or Bunco? We’ll see… So, read, enjoy and email me at cary@davislifemagazine.com. What stories do you want to see? Who do you know who is caring or unique or a risk taker? Let me know because this magazine is about you and your community. It’s about time! |
